Kim Jong Un Congratulates President – Elect Donald J. Trump With A Post-Election Love Letter

At the risk of doing the initial spade work for the Foreign Ministry of North Korea, I took a theoretical stab at composing a draft of what could well be the next flattery-laden “love letter” from the oppressive tyrant of the Democratic People’s Republic Of Korea to the incoming American President.

Kim Jong Un concealed his strong preference for Trump to return to the White House since he and anyone in the region knows his success in flipping the former President through ego – stroking flattery. At one time Kim even cleverly made a press statement indicating he did not particularly care who won the 2024 US Presidential race. To anyone familiar with Asia and diplomacy, or with North Korea, they would spot that duplicitous tactic within a second.

And so without further ado, the “love letter” to Trump might go something like this:

“January 20, 2025

Your Excellency,

Donald,

It gives me great pleasure to congratulate Your Excellency on your resumption of duties as President of the United States and in taking the oath of office this week.

As you know, it has been many months since the historic DPRK-US summit in Singapore in 2018, which was an unprecedented event in the history of the world, possible only through your strong and courageous leadership. Despite the unfortunate history of our two great nations; and yours, which is much greater now – no other American leader in my estimation could accomplish this as Mr. President.

I recall with fondness the historic moment when I first firmly held Your Excellency’s hand at that beautiful and sacred location as the whole world watched with great interest and hope to relive the honor of that day in Singapore with you once again at your earliest convenience. It is time, in my humble opinion, to restart discussions between our two great nations, yours, which is much greater now as a result of your remarkable return to power.

There is much, most Gracious Excellency, the two of us can do to bring about a new spirit of cooperation and friendship, as well as a cessation of the unfortunate war between us. The time for division and strife is over, the new era of smooth relations must now begin. This will create benefits to the people of the United States in reducing your financial commitment to stationing troops in the Southern part of the Korean Peninsula, as we in turn entertain new Wonsan-Kalma initiatives from your side such as the golf and tourism development of our Republic that Your Excellency skillfully suggested to us through your envoys in Sweden in 2019, but which could not positively respond to at the time.

Great worldwide accolades will be ours if we can boldly move forward and disregard the naysayers. It is in that spirit that I wish to humbly invite Your Excellency to embark upon a most unprecedented and historic visit to Pyongyang where we can discuss matters deeply with an eye toward signing an agreement to formally end the conflict between us. The whole world will certainly once again come to see you as an unparalleled man of great peace and diplomatic skills.

I have already instructed my closest and most trusted colleagues and the relevant organs to speed up the preparations for holding such a groundbreaking summit in the DPRK with Your Excellency and delegation. There is no American President in history but yourself, Grand Excellency, who could even achieve this fearless and strong move towards regional and world peace.

Bold action to reduce the costly and unproductive military commitment by your nation to the South would be my most helpful and hopeful intent, and I trust Your Excellency also has a desire to discuss matters where we can cooperate as well to ensure this New Asian Peace based once again on your great decisiveness and excellent leadership. I wholeheartedly hope that the things that Your Excellency seeks to achieve will come to great fruition.

I pray for the honorable First Lady Melania, your esteemed family great happiness and success, and looking forward to having them meet our own First Lady Ri-sol Ju, and be officially introduced to my daughter and our Morning Star, General Kim Ju Ae.

Sincerely, with unchanging respect for Your Excellency the President,

Chairman State Affairs Commission

Democratic People’s Republic of Korea

//Kim Jong Un”

Why The Democrats Should Use A Light Touch On Trump’s Policy Agenda

The Democratic Party lost the lection despite a well qualified candidate, a demonstrably better economic plan, and a platform promoting a far more positive view of America. It is time to step aside and let the people dance with their chosen partner. Stop claiming the Republicans have no mandate just becuase the vote margin was tight. Instead remind Republicans that they have made promises to the American people and that they have a responsibility to keep these promises.
