Go Green With Wendy’s Summer Salad

By Michael Murillo

Summertime means salad — at Wendy’s, anyway. They normally roll out a new salad to kick off the hottest season of the year. And in 2017, they’re kicking things up a notch with a new product where even the name is a bit of a mouthful.

Introducing the Strawberry Mango Chicken Salad.

Obviously, that means strawberry slices, mango, lettuce and all white meat grilled chicken. But they’re also adding in a bit of feta cheese, sunflower seeds and a vinaigrette (this one is Honey Citrus).

The ingredients make sense: Mangoes ripen during the summer months, strawberries are refreshing and salads offer lighter fare than burgers and fries. What’s not to like?

Well, the time limit for one thing. When we reach Labor Day, the salad is gone.

The Strawberry Mango Chicken Salad is available in full and half portions, as well as with or without chicken. They’ll set you back somewhere between 200-500 calories and around $4-$7, depending on what option and size you order.

Catch them now at participating locations.

  1. Salads? are you trying to kill me? LOL Seriously, I have to be careful of salads because of the vitamin K. If I have to much I can have a stroke, It is because I take Coumadin and Vitamin K interacts with the Coumadin.
