University of Texas Stabbing Leaves One Dead and Several Injured.

A stabbing at the University of Texas in Austin on Monday afternoon left one person dead and three more injured according to emergency officials.

Austin Police were called to the scene at approximately 1:50 PM to assist the campus police near Gregory Gym which is located at 2101 Speedway on campus.

According to UT police, they have one person in custody. Although it is believed that there is no ongoing threat, the McCombs School of Business is still on lockdown, and the University has asked all students to avoid the crime scene.

Governor Greg Abbott responded to the deadly stabbing with a tweet,  “Praying for all those affected by this heinous attack and for the UT-Austin community,
