No Longer United With Freedom Caucus – A Patriot Fights On
Up until Wednesday, there was a Facebook group I really admired. It was committed to consistent and determined political action toward the repeal of Obamacare. This social media group was dedicated to reminding our legislators of President Trump’s campaign promise to fully dismantle the “Affordable Care Act” of the Obama administration.
This group rallied proactive politically astute citizens to do more than just vent in their wall statuses and rant in liberals’ comment boxes. Lita Whitener led the charge on Facebook to inform and motivate patriots to effectively communicate their stand on getting government out of the health care business.
United With Freedom Caucus encouraged the few, brave Republican Congressional representatives, who succeeded in derailing the American Health Care Act in late March. President Trump lent lukewarm support to the bill, promoted by House Speaker Paul Ryan, but the small group of conservatives, known as the Freedom Caucus, stubbornly withheld their support, effectively dooming passage in the House, resulting in a withdrawal of the bill.
This committed Facebook group rose in popularity quickly, expanding its influence exponentially as more patriots spread the opportunity to participate in ready-made “Missions” promoted by Lita and her team. Names of representatives who were holding firm in their conservative commitments in their votes, town hall meetings, and constituent communications were bombarded with posts of praise and gratitude on their social media sites and in their email boxes. Representatives who failed to uphold the standard set by our new President’s promises were immediately inundated with condemnation.
Until Wednesday, that is.
On April 26, United With Freedom Caucus changed its name to United For Freedom.
Did they cave? Were they running out of participants?
Nope. They just responded to the news that,
“The House Freedom Caucus officially backs an updated version of the GOP health care bill that includes a significant amendment co-sponsored by the group’s chairman…The so-called Meadows-MacArthur amendment, from House Freedom Caucus chairman Mark Meadows and moderate Tuesday Group co-chairman Tom MacArthur, would allow states to waive a limited number of Obamacare regulations under certain conditions.” (italics mine)
For United With Freedom Caucus leaders, this was a clear indication that the promise of a full repeal of Obamacare is in grave danger of complete failure.
On Wednesday afternoon, Ms. Whitener posted this notice on the revised group’s wall:
Hello members!!! Most of you have noticed that we’ve changed our group name. However, we haven’t changed our focus.
The leadership of this group believes in principle over personality. The Freedom Caucus caved & endorsed the amended version of swampcare. We do not have a list yet of those who caved and those who didn’t. We will provide it when it is available so that we can hold them accountable for failing us.
This group will continue to fight for conservative principles, including a FULL REPEAL of Obamacare. We will begin missions hammering our senators in the very near future. Meanwhile, we will continue to provide missions leading up to the actual house vote. We will not stop fighting & we will hold those who failed us accountable.
Our commitment to fight for conservative principles does make a difference. And, although they failed us this time. We will fight harder, grow bigger & give them no other choice but to honor their promises.
I’m very proud of this group & all of my conservative patriot brothers & sisters who choose to stand with your feet planted firmly in truth & fight for freedom…

This patriot admitted that she has been a political activist since age 10 when she first heard about the abomination of abortion. She defines herself as a “rock-ribbed Constitutional Conservative”. She is the founder of the Conservative Bullhorn & Conservatives United Against Progressivism. She confessed that she does not even try to gauge the success of her efforts, instead, she just fights for what’s right and encourage our leaders to do the same, adding,
My hope for conservatism is that we survive the progressive agenda of the current administration and ultimately educate people about conservative principles and how they relate to freedom as it was intended by our founding fathers.
When asked how everyday people make a difference, she answered,
First, they can learn to discern truth by paying attention and understanding the issues that are impacting their daily lives. Most people don’t consider that the government has its hands in everything we do from flipping a light switch to driving a car to control their healthcare decisions. Once they understand the issues they can join social media groups or local grassroots organizations to join like-minded Americans to fight for what they believe in because there is strength in numbers, even 3% can make all the difference in the world, because freedom was obtained with only 3% of like minded patriots at the founding of our nation.
So the name has changed, but the mission remains the same. Like “the immortal retort of Captain John Paul Jones to a request to surrender as he and his crew engaged in a desperate battle with a British frigate off the northern coast of England during the American Revolution,” Lita has “not yet begun to fight!”

As a member of what was the UWFC and now United For Freedom, the name change is not a threat, but more inclusive. We remain steadfast in our battle for the repeal of Obamacare and against AHCA and any form of government intrusion into our healthcare and many other aspects of our lives. I remain a supporter of the Freedom Caucus – I don’t have to like every decision they make – they remain the last vestige of conservatism in Washington. As with all things, change comes with any group and we as patriots will continue to fight for the Constitution and freedom as our forefathers before us did.
